Mobile Business and
Services
.pdf
Track
Description
The proliferation and widespread use of mobile devices is widely recognised
as one of the most important technological trends of the first decade
of the 21st Century. Technological advances in mobile computing are enabling
"anywhere, anytime" data access for business professionals and
customers. M-business is "the new e-business" and research that
assesses the progress to date and explores the future implications for
business, consumers and society is required.
At the
same time, applications and services that support mobility are accelerating
tremendously. Technologies such as wireless sensor networks, NFC and RFID
offer an even larger portfolio of application scenarios and services that
need to be seamlessly integrated. Implications include the demise of traditional
business models for service providers, management of bottom-up diffusion
and exploration of the impact on society.
The Mobile
Business and Services track explores the synergy evolving between mobile
business and mobile applications and services. We welcome theoretical
and applied research submissions that report on original unpublished research
from the broad field of mobile business as well as applications and services
in various domains.
